Insider's Guide to Getting Your Poems Published
Who Else Wants to Sell Their Poems? New "Insider's Guide" Reveals...
"How to Sell Your Poems and Get Published...Even If You've Never Been Published Before!"

Dear Friend,

If you're passionate about poetry... if you'd love to get your work published, but aren't sure how to do it... then this is going to be the most exciting message you'll ever read.

Here’s why. Imagine walking to your mailbox…

You open it, and inside, there’s the letter you’ve been waiting for. You don’t really have time to read your mail right now, but this one you rip open right on the spot.

With trembling fingers, you withdraw the letter, and read these words:

Dear [your name],

Thank you for the poems you sent in to us.

Your poems really spoke to me, and I think my readers will love them too. Of the five you sent, I want to publish the second one in the next issue of our magazine, and the third and fifth in a later issue.

I’ve enclosed a check for first rights to these three poems. If you’re satisfied with the amount, please let me know as soon as possible so I can get these poems into our production process.

I look forward to hearing from you…

Before you even finish reading, you notice you’re jumping up and down. Strange—you don’t remember starting to dance, yet here you are…

Does this sound like a fantasy? It shouldn’t. If you’re reading these words, I’m convinced you too can be a published poet. And legitimately published…not being suckered by the poetry scams out there nowadays.

There is one drawback, though. Your first acceptance letter will make you do the “happy dance” just like I described above…and it makes you look really silly. (Trust me on this one. Do it in private.)

Getting published—even getting published frequently—isn’t as hard as you think. In fact…

 I’ve discovered a simple three-step process
that any poet can follow to get published!

    Here’s what it’s all about…

I first did the “happy dance” back in 1989. (Yes, I’ve been writing for a while!) I even got paid $100 for my first publication. (Not too shabby, especially since I would have done it for free.) But over the years, I had a lot more success publishing nonfiction than anything else. So I decided to find out why. How could I “crack the code” on publishing fiction and poetry?

     As I investigated, I learned a few things…

There are thousands—yes, I said thousands
of legitimate markets for your poetry.
And many of them are eager to work with new writers!

Now, let me caution you up front. You won’t get rich selling your poems. If you want to get rich from your writing, you’ll have to crank out schlock horror novels or something. Even the most successful poets don’t get wealthy from their work.

But you can make some money. Although some publications only pay contributor’s copies (free copies of the magazine your poem appears in), many pay cash also. Some pay a few dollars, others up to several hundred dollars, per poem. But we aren’t in this for the money anyway—getting your work out there in front of others is what counts.

You pour yourself into your poems…and when they’re published, you’ll know that you’ve truly and deeply touched other people. Getting published means that others recognize the value of your work. And your friends and acquaintances will know it too.

I know what it’s like to be a frustrated writer…accumulating piles of manuscripts on your desk, wondering if any of them will ever see the light of day. But I’ve also learned over the years exactly how the industry works (I’ve been published many times under various pen names, do frequent work as an editor, and just had a book published this year).

If you’re still a “frustrated” writer,
I’m confident you can become a published writer soon…
you know how to do it.

That’s why I’ve written an "Insider’s Guide" showing you my step-by-step system for getting your work published. Here’s what you’ll discover:

  • The one simple technique that will practically guarantee your success…but hardly any poets do it! (page 7)
  • Frustrated because you can’t find a market for your poetry? You’ll be shocked at the number of opportunities you have. (p. 4)
  • The “dirty little secret” of large publishing houses, and why you shouldn’t send your poetry to them (p. 22)
  • How to submit your work for publication, with clear instructions and examples (starts on page 25)
  • Here’s a poetry market that’s huge…easy for new poets to break into…and best of all, has editors from prestigious publications snooping around, scouting for fresh new poets! (p. 14)
  • A magazine wants to buy your poem! Time to rejoice…unless the editor mentions this phrase. If so, withdraw your poem immediately! (p. 12)
  • The one thing you’ll desperately want to do before submitting your work forHow to Sell Your Poems Even If You've Never Been Published Before publication…and the reason you must never do it! (p. 11)
  • How editors form opinions of your work…before they even read it! This can damage your chances of getting published, unless you know how to use it to your advantage.  (p. 32)
  • Worried about others stealing your work? Here’s how to protect yourself. (page 47)
  • “Chapbooks”: what they are, and their surprising role in your success (p. 21)
  • How to get your local newspaper to write an article about you and your poetry! (p.  20)
  • Your local coffee shops and independent bookstores will beg you to have a poetry reading...once you do this! (p. 19)
  • This amazing market for poetry publishes more books of poems than all the large commercial publishers combined…eagerly accepts new writers…and you don’t need an agent to break in. But you’ve probably never heard of it! (p. 23)
  • How to go to your public library, ask one question, and get a list of thousands of publications that are anxious to find good poems to publish! (p. 15)
  • These famous magazines publish lots of poetry, yet if you send in your work (as so many do) and it’s not accepted, you can kill your career as a poet. (Hint: it has nothing to do with getting a bad reputation. page 13)
  • Greeting Card companies: are they a good market for you? The "Big 3" companies won't accept poems from outsiders...but here's how to break into the industry anyway! (p. 21)
  • An easy way to impress editors, and make them more receptive to your work…before they even read your poems! (p. 26)
  • How to find hundreds of places on the Internet that will gladly publish your work. (p. 16)

This is unlike any other book
you’ll ever read on poetry publishing!

    Why? Because you wrote it!

Well, not you specifically. But I put up a Web page asking poets just like you what their most important questions were. I got lots of great questions…and in this book, I’ve answered them!

Which means no fluff. Just the answers you want to know.

    You’ll discover tips like…

  •  How certain publishers can cheat you out of the rights to your poetry bookeven if you paid to have your book printed. Here’s how to avoid this trap. (page 52)
  • Are you uncertain if your poems are ready to be published? Here's how to get great feedback and advice about your poetry (p. 45)
  • “Cooperative publishers”: what they are, and why you should not allow them to publish your poetry (p. 46)
  • How “paralleling” can help you get published—except in this one situation, where it can backfire on you instead. Here’s how to use it wisely. (p. 31)
  • You’re submitting several pages of poems. How should you send them? The surprising answer (many editors actually get offended if you do this wrong. page 29).
  • When mailing off your poems, doing this common thing to the envelope (yes, the envelope) can damage your chances of getting into the magazine. Here’s how to avoid this common mistake (p. 32)
  • What's the next holiday on the calendar? Here's how to use holidays to get your poems published. (p. 19)
  • How to get “insider information” telling you exactly how to break into a prestigious publication—for FREE! (And you can do this for almost every publication out there, over and over again.) (p. 26)
  • 5 warning signs for crooked poetry  “publishing opportunities”: if you see any of these red flags, run away! (p. 53)
  • The crucial difference between print-on-demand presses and print-on-demand publishers. Not knowing the difference can cost you 80% of your poetry book’s cover price…for each copy that’s sold! (p. 46)
  • Thousands of poets send their work into these two publications each year. Here’s why you should avoid them instead. (p. 13)
  • Dozens, maybe even hundreds of markets for your poetry are right “under your nose”…but you’ve probably never noticed them before. Here’s how to “wake up” to the opportunities all around you. (p. 19)
  • 5 (and only 5) things your cover letter must do when you submit poems. (p. 31)
  • Do you use a spell-checker on your computer? Maybe you shouldn’t—here’s why. (p. 32)
  • How getting rejected can improve your chances of getting published! (p. 37)
  • Editors despise “simultaneous submissions,” but they’re a huge advantage to you. Here’s how to use them so that the editors don’t mind. (p. 33)
  • You’ll long to ask your editor this question…but you must never ask it (it will ruin your relationship with the editor!) (p. 48)
  • Several magazines want to buy the same poem from you. Time to celebrate? No—this is a disaster! Here’s why, and what to do about it (p. 34)

  • How to greatly improve your chances of getting published…just by reading a magazine! (p. 26)

  • How to save hundreds of dollars when copyrighting your poems (page 48)
  • You submit your poems for publication, then wait weeks…even months…without hearing anything. Here’s what’s happening, and how to avoid it. (p. 33)

How to Avoid Poetry Scams!

You’ve probably heard that there are scammers preying on poets and writers…taking advantage of our hopes and dreams in the most despicable way. And sadly, it’s true.

But that doesn’t mean you have to fall for their schemes, as so many others have. I’ve included a Special Bonus Section that “blows the lid off” their methods.

I show you exactly what they do…how they try to cheat you…and how to avoid their traps. Once you know how they work, it’s easy to steer clear of them. (And once you learn how, I’d also ask you to share this information with all your friends. The only way to shut these criminals down is to take away their victims.)

So, how much could you accomplish if you had this Guide? You could be a published poet soon…seeing your work in print again and again.

That’s why you should read this book today. In fact, you could be reading it 5 minutes from now...

What’s a Resource Like This Worth?

What is this worth…the ability to be a published poet? Knowing how to get your work in print…a steady stream of publications for the rest of your life? The public validation and thrill of being published over and over again?

In a way, this book represents 16 years of my life. Everything I’ve learned about publishing, not only from my own experience but also from others’, is summed up here. If you were to have a book like this written for you, it would take a full-time researcher a week or more to dig out this kind of “insider” information. That would run you about $750 to $1,000 (I checked).

That’s why this Guide is such a bargain at $19.77.

Frankly, this is underpriced, and the price is going up soon. This Guide is new on the market, and I want to gather more testimonials and success stories from people who buy it. Once I have a few more, the price will go up to $27.77. But for now, you can get it for the much lower $19.77.

    Could this be any fairer?

If you craft rhyming poetry, you need this software. Just type in a word, and up pops a list of every English word that rhymes, listed alphabetically or by number of syllables. There are several versions available for both PC and Mac.

How much is this software worth? Just think of the hours and hours of time it will save you. I've seen similar programs selling for $29.99 (yes, that's more than I'm charging for my entire Guide, plus this Bonus). And it’s yours absolutely FREE with your order!

More comments from readers

As an aspiring poet I needed three major pieces of information: the quality of my writings, a "market" for my poetry and the opportunity to make a living out of it. The Guide gave me everything, and more. As I am so enthusiastic when writing, I found "the voice of reason" in your Guide. Thank you very much for giving me a guardian Angel.

Mr. Arthur:  Although I've only downloaded the Poetry Success Guide three or four days ago,  I have read enough of the book to know that I'm on to something big.  I anticipate using your information to make intelligent decisions in getting my poetry published.  Thanks for your help.

Just the suggestions on how to market my poetry have left me speechless.
